History
The manufactury Adolf Michel was until the 1930s one of the most
important swiss ebauche manufacturers with more than 1000
employees. After the integration into the Ebauches SA, it got
an external leadership and was mostly degraded to a supplier, which
for example helped Felsa a lot.
The famous “Bidynator” selfwinding movements, where everyone thinks
of Felsa, was originally invented by AM.
The history of the Uhrenfabrik Adolf Michel is documented by
Urs Roth, the great-grandchild of Adolf Michel on
amsagrenchen.com.
